I started an Annis Shawl for my son's teacher.

Here is what mine looks like:

The one I'm knitting is in a deep purple in Lisa Souza BFL sock yarn that I got at Rhinebeck. (I think is is Sourball?)

Another FO that I DO have a picture for is my Bellatrix Socks. They are cool looking, but I didn't like knitting the pattern that much.

Yarn is Socks that Rock Lightweight in Morticia.

My fleece came from a young ram named Tyson! It is his FIRST SHEARING, OMG!!!! He was raised on Marushka Farms. Please contact Marie if you would like to purchase fleece or fiber. The fleece I bought was wonderful. I have yet to find any VM (vegetable matter).

Almost finished with Penumbra. 

(Actually I am finished at this point, I'll post finished pics when I talk about it.)

LOVED this knit SO hard. Gorgeous yarn and beads, and fun pattern together made for the perfect storm of a fantastic knit.

Confessions of a Newbie spinner:

I went to Fiber Fallout 2012. It was fantastic. I learned so much!

I talked about Robin Russo's class on Saturday. We did lots of fiber prep, which I had never done before. And we made batts!!

I think this is a medium wool, alpaca, and mohair. Just beautiful. I could get into making batts.

This is the book we used for fiber prep and spinning worsted (combed) and woolen (carded). It really gave me a better understanding of the concepts.

These beautiful skeins just arrived from Blue Moon Fiber Arts

I am going to make Sockhead Hats for my step granddaughters. I think I am going to start with "Rue de Pondscum" the one on the right. The other is "Rosanna Donna". They are both mediumweight, which I do not like for socks, but will be great for hats.

I'm Back!!!

Here are a few pictures of where Emily and I stayed, and of the 3 parks in Disney that we visited:

One of many beautiful views from Bay Lake Towers. We rented DVC points, I highly recommend this! Great room at a value price.

My favorite shot I took at Epcot. I don't know where my vantage point was!

This is Magic Kingdom's gorgeous nighttime parade. We saw the nighttime shows at Magic Kingdom, Epcot and Disney's Hollywood studios. These shows are a favorite of mine, and worth staking out your place early.

It may surprise you, but my favorite park is Disney's Hollywood Studios. I love the music, it is smaller and easier to navigate, a little less crowded, and it has some killer rides.

Tower of Terror is my Favorite Theme park ride of all time. Bad pic, but Em and I are in the second row on the left. She lost her phone during this ride, but it was retrieved by a cast member!

We had a blast. Not our first, OR our last trip. We will return with the boys when it is a cooler month. (They are wimps).

So, enough of Disney. On to the knitting!

I finished the body of the Jackie tank. I loved knitting this, even though I did not finish before Ravellenics. I love knitting in the round. I just need to add the ruffle, finish the neckline and weave in all the ENDS. Bleh.

So I started the Damson shawl. I love knitting this. Very mindful knitting.

This Week in TV:

I watched 2 new shows, "Go On" which I liked, and "Animal Practice" which I did not. Your mileage may vary!!
